J. C. Chandor for Margin Call

Asghar Farhadi for A Seperation

Andrew Haigh for Weekend

Diablo Cody for Young Adult

AND THE WINNER IS…..

KRISTEN WIIG AND ANNIE MUMOLO FOR BRIDESMAIDS

Last Year’s Winner: Christopher Nolan for Inception

The first part of making a film is the writing so I award the first award to be original screenplay. The winners Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are first time nominees this year and it is their first Film screenplay. I will talk about the first runner up which is Asghar Farhadi for “A Seperation“, it may be a foreign film but his words really had a personal effect on me because of the subject it brought up as well as how in was intense without ever going over the top.

In the end the winner is Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo for “Bridesmaids“, they did what most comedy’s seem to feel at doing nowadays which is to entertain as well having an emotional back bone to the whole film. The words were genius with comic timing as well as with how real they made the story.

P.S. Later today I will present the Adapted Screenplay winner.
