PETER ATENCIO FOR ("THE END"), KEY & PEELE
This is the first win and second nomination for Peter Atencio for his direction of Key & Peele. He was previously nominated for Key & Peele (2015).
Key & Peele in a seemingly understated away sort of became one of the best variety series by the time the show ended it's five season run and because the series never produced buzz equal to other shows it would seemingly go overlooked. The series finale was a great finale for the show and one of these reasons is Peter Atencio. His direction has always been strong for the series but having to handle the show's multiple sketches throughout a given episode is something to reward. Well done to Atencio and everyone on the show for crafting a great show.
