OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES

Anthony Anderson as Andre "Dre" Johnson Sr. for ("Hope") in "BLACK-ISH"
Aziz Ansari as Dev Shah for ("Nashville") in "MASTER OF NONE"
Andrew Daly as Forrest MacNeil for ("Cult; Perfect Body") in "REVIEW"
Chris Geere as Jimmy Shive-Overly for ("A Right Proper Story") in "YOU'RE THE WORST"
William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher for ("Sleep No More") in "SHAMELESS"
Jeffrey Tambor as Maura Pfefferman for ("Man on the Land") in "TRANSPARENT"

AND THE WINNER IS:

ANDREW DALY AS FORREST MACNEIL FOR ("CULT; PERFECT BODY") IN "REVIEW"

This is the first win and third nomination for Andrew Daly. He previously was nominated for producing and starring in Review (2014). He wins this year for his performance on Review season 2.

Review was a surprising wonder in season one going places I never expected a show like this to go. However while I felt the show hit an appropriate end in season 1 I was not ready for the magnificence that was Review season 2. One of the main reasons to why this mix of outladish comedy situations and hard hitting black comedy worked so well is the leading performance by Andrew Daly. It was quite the unapologetic turn where he went head first into his portrayal of a man so desperate to complete every review given to him because he feel he must. Daly especially shone in the episode "Cult; Perfect Body" where he displayed some hidden physical comedy in a outlandish situation comedy. Daly really did it better then any other actor in a comedy this season and for that I reward his performance here.
