This is the second win and nomination for the writing team for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. The team has been nominated and won multiple awards previous to joining together but they win a second time in a row.

John Oliver has become the king of late night television after the departure of Colbert and Stewart and his rise this past year was one of wonder. He and his team were already creating political entertainment of greatness their first year on the air but even more this year as the 2016 election started to rear it's head Oliver was able to fully invest himself into it all making it one wonderful season of television. Oliver continues with his show to greatlu impress me because he takes time to craft one show a week and make that show as strong as it can be.
