OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Blythe Danner as Ruth Madoff in "MADOFF"
Kirsten Dunst as Peggy Blumquist in "FARGO"
Felicity Huffman as Leslie Graham in "AMERICAN CRIME"
Rachel McAdams as in "TRUE DETECTIVE"
Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark in "THE PEOPLE V. O.J. SIMPSON: AMERICAN CRIME STORY"
Lili Taylor as Anne Blaine in "AMERICAN CRIME"

AND THE WINNER IS:

SARAH PAULSON AS MARCIA CLARK IN "AMERICAN CRIME STORY"

This is the first win and third nomination for Sarah Paulson. She was previously nominated for her performances as Nicole Wallace in Game Change (2012) and Lana Winters in American Horror Story (2013).

Everything related to American Crime Story could've been a disaster with the involvement of Ryan Murphy but when the final product was aired it became clear that this was something special. One of the standout parts of the entire series was Sarah Paulson. Ever since getting into the Ryan Murphy tv family Paulson has been given some good to great material to work with but never until she portrayed Marcia Clark was she given the role that would be able to show her talent in the highest regard. As Clark Paulson is able to make the audience sympathetic to this true women who until know has been badly looked upon. Paulson properly gives respect to Clark and shines even above some competitive performances in the series. I couldn't be happier that Paulson got the chance to finally be the lead because everyone will get to see how much talent she has shown in smaller roles here and there now in a larger role where she just was breathtaking.
