This is the second win and fifth nomination for Justin Kirk. He previously won his performance in Angels in America (2004) and was nomination for his work on Weeds (2006-2007) and Manhattan (2015). He wins for his performance as Rob on You're the Worst.

Justin Kirk is an actor who when he hits it he hits it hard for me. By this I mean when he finds the right role he is quite impressive in it. This is the case with Kirk on You're the Worst. While the role is about us finding out the levels to Gretchen's depression if it wasn't for the performance given by Justin Kirk we wouldn't and I surely wouldn't care for arguable the greatest episode of the series thus far. Kirk is both greatly comedic and harshly dramatic crafting quite the complex character to shape the entire series in just one episode.
