AND THE WINNER IS:

PRODUCTION DESIGN SEONG-HIE RYU FOR THE HANDMAIDEN

This is the first win and nomination for Seong-hie Ryu, she wins for her production design of The Handmaiden.

There's so much to love about the entire visual creation of The Handmaiden and probably the standout design element is it's production design. There are so many gorgeous rooms and outside locations that these characters walk through and my mouth was just wathering with every new location these characters would visit. The standout of course is the sexual act wooden library that the plot witnesses these explicit acts and the central duo destroy once they've had enough. It's really a wonderful but of design that thankfullu people are noticing like the film in general.
