FLORE MASSON, OLIVIER AFONSO & ANTOINE MANCINI FOR TITANE
These are the first wins for Flore Masson, Olivier Afonso & Antoine Mancini. Afonso was previously nominated for Raw (2017) & Mancini was nominated for The Death of Louis XIV (2017).
Titane is a film that has been talked about since it's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival for both good and bad reasons. The film is a lot to take in and part of what makes it sick and great to watch is the work of the hair and makeup department on the film. Everything was gross and disgusting but only in affecting ways which pushed the narrative of the film forward. There are some great prosthetic pieces and unique hairstyles on display throughout the film and I'm sure to remember them whenever I think back on my experience of watching the film.
