ANDERS DANIELSEN LIE AS AKSEL IN “THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD”
This is the first win and nomination for Anders Danielsen Lie. He wins for his role as Aksel in The Worst Person in the World.
The film year 2021 has been quite a diverse year when it comes to men in supporting roles which made the choice of Anders Danielsen Lie as my winner such a difficult decision. In the end he ended up being my supporting actor winner was made because when I thought of truly memorable work his stood out the most. His character while less featured than Reinsve's in the film is really just as important to the story of Worst Person. I am heartbroken by his turn as he effectively delivered a lot of moments throughout the multiple chapters of the film. The above clip highlighting his work really was one of his standout moments and a great showcase as to why he is my supporting actor winner for the year.
