OUTSTANDING LEADING ACTRESS IN A MINISERIES/TELEVISION MOVIE

Romola Garai as Bel Rowley in “THE HOUR”

Nicole Kidman as Martha Gellghorn in “HEMINGWAY & GELLHORN”

Melissa Leo as Montine in “THE SPACE BETWEEN”

Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in “GAME CHANGE”

Emily Watson as Janet Leach in “APPROPRIATE ADULT”

AND THE WINNER IS:

JULIANNE MOORE AS SARAH PALIN IN "GAME CHANGE"

Last Year’s Winner: Kate Winslet as Mildred Pierce in “MILDRED PIERCE”

This is the first win for Julianne Moore on her second nomination for her work in Game Change.

Game Change was all about Sarah Palin and the casting of this women was key so when Julianne Moore was cast there was no question the movie was going to work because of her. Moore is a great actress and in this movie she goes further then the ridiculous accent and actions the actual women took but instead is able to give much more complexity to the character and this performance is another great in one in a long list of great performances by Julianne Moore and while the real Sarah Palin does not like this performance I can say it is a much better performance then the one given by Sarah Palin herself.
