Last Year’s Winner: Jimmy Fallon for 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards
This is the first win for Kristen Wiig on her fouth nomination for her work on Saturday Night Live.
In her final season the focus was always on Kristen Wiig and how much of an impression she has made on the show for seven seasons now. Creating such great characters as Gilly and Penelope she has been the best cast member for some years and this being my final chance to reward her for her work on the show pushed me into rewarding her for Saturday Night Live. Also what a great way for someone to go out with a musical tribute featuring Mick Jagger and Arcade Fire really makes you apperciate how respected you are.
