George Mastras & Sam Catlin for (“Crawl Space”), Breaking Bad

George R. R. Martin for (“Blackwater”), Game of Thrones

Meredith Stiehm for (“The Weekend”), Homeland

Andre Jacquemetton & Maria Jacquemetton for (“Commissions and Fees”), Mad Men

Semi Chellas & Matthew Weiner for (“Far Away Places”), Mad Men

AND THE WINNER IS:

ANDRE JACQUEMENTTON & MARIA JACQUEMETTON FOR ("COMMISSIONS AND FEES"), MAD MEN

Last Year’s Winner: Matthew Weiner for (“The Suitcase”), Mad Men

This is the first win for André Jacquemetton & Maria Jacquermettton on their first nomination for their writing on Mad Men.

André Jacquemetton and his wife Maria Jacquemetton have been consistant writers for Mad Men since season 1 and with this episode in season 5 they write their best episode for the series handling the dramatic event of Lane’s death. The episode is very tense throughout as we follow the deeply depressed Lane when he is caught in the act and once his death occurs we see the atmosphere of the office becoming quite serious and the writing done by these two together on this episode was very good for themes handled in the episode.
