OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A MINISERIES OR MOVIE

Jean-Marc Vallée for Big Little Lies
Joe Wright for ("Nosedive"), Black Mirror
Keith Gordon for ("Aporia"), Fargo
Ryan Murphy for ("And the Winner is... (The Oscars of 1963)"), Feud: Bette and Joan
Andrew Haigh for Looking: The Movie

AND THE WINNER IS:

JEAN-MARC VALLEE FOR BIG LITTLE LIES

This is the first win and nomination for Jean-Marc Vallée. He wins for his directing for Big Little Lies.

Jean-Marc has been making a name for himself for directing oscar nominated films like Dallas Buyers Club and Wild. When taking his talent to the small screen I was impressed that he adapted his style for this smaller screen to great results. Jean thankfully decided to work on a project that tells the story of women in america and all the drama that comes along with. His work flows like a river meaning that when there is a lot of scenes happening they flow in and out of one another and I was impressed by this.
