Amy Brenneman as Laurie Garvey for ("Certified") in "THE LEFTOVERS"
Adelaide Clemens as Tawney Talbot for ("Physic") in "RECTIFY"
Thandie Newton as Maeve Millay for ("Dissonance Theory") in "WESTWORLD"
Lori Petty as Lolly Whitehill / Lolly for ("It Sounded Nicer in My Head") in "ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK"
Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker for ("Chapter 6") in "LEGION"
Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy for ("A Woman's Place") in "THE HANDMAID'S TALE"

AND THE WINNER IS:

THANDIE NEWTON AS MAEVE MILLAY FOR ("DISSONANCE THEORY") IN "WESTWORLD"

This is the first win and nomination for Thandie Newton. She wins for performance as Maeve Millay on Westworld season 1.

Westworld had it's issues that were present during it's run where you could clearly see the moment the show halted production to reevaluate itself. While there were issues the one element that remained powerful was Thandie Newton's performance. Newton was ever expressive playing the robot discovering the human elements of herself. Newton has never been better and even as her story grew slightly incoherent Newton remained strong. Once her character became more knowing of her surroundings it was all about Maeve and how effortless Newton's performance was as her.
