EWAN MCGREGOR AS EMMIT STUSSY / RAY STUSSY IN "FARGO"
This is the first win and nomination for Ewan McGregor. He wins for his dual performance as twins Emmit and Ray Stussy on the third season of Fargo.
I'll be the first to mention that I'm happy to have been given the chance to reward Ewan and Nicole together. I'm a devout lover of Moulin Rouge! so things turning out the way they have is pretty cool for me. Ewan gives a win worthy performance just before anyone questions why I've rewarded him. McGregor is so different as these two twins that it's one of the better dual roles performances in recent years (there have been far too many dual role performances recently.) McGregor let's go his natural accent adopting the american accent and disappearing into this role. Being a lifelong fan of McGregor I'm glad to see him being given a chance like this again because similar to his season 3 co-star David Thewlis he is greatly undervalued.
