DON ROY KING FOR SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
This is the third win and seventh nomination for Don Roy King. He previously won for directing Saturday Night Live (2010-2011) and was also nominated for Saturday Night Live (2008-2009, 2012-2013).
SNL in my opinion had a resurrection this season. I had grown tired of the series for a couple seasons now but with real life events that inspired some funny material the show grabbed my attention and was appointment viewing every week for me. Focusing on the directing for the series the many, many moments whether live or recorded were tremendous. The recorded segments parading a lot of my favourite pop culture moments mixing it with political talk which is something I appreciate from a great variety program. King continues to lead the charge for direction for the series and hopefully the series continues it's great streak.
